FARIA Network Meeting

Dear all,

you are warmly welcome to the next FARIA network meeting on 15th November!

The meeting will include updates on what has been going on this year, and we take a look together on what we can do for 2024.

• Reflections on the Joint Committee Meeting (JCM)

In September, representatives of the U.S. and Finnish governments met in Helsinki to update the action plan for the Finnish-American agreement on science and technology. Science councilor from the Finnish Embassy in Washington D.C. Petri Koikkalainen joins us to share his insights on this event.

• Workshop on research management

In conjunction with the JCM, FARIA in cooperation with the University of Helsinki and NCURA arranged a workshop attracting 147 participants. We would like to share with you some information about the event and the main takeaways.

• FARIA/Metropolia/VTT delegation to the U.S.

A Smart Mobility team visited Ohio, Pennsylvania and Michigan in September, Innovation Director Oscar Nissin from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences joins us to tell more about the trip and its outcomes.

• Updates on ongoing FARIA Activities

There is really a lot going on, and we’ll present briefly some of the projects and events FARIA is involved in and currently working on.

• Action Plan 2024: Input for next year

The FARIA calendar for 2024 is slowly building up, but there is space for more projects and events. We share with you some of our plans for the coming year, and invite you to bring up any ideas you may have. Thoughts and ideas can of course also be sent directly to us through email.
